A little bit of cutting everything to include: bumper, fender, hood and maybe grill, not really sure. But yes, a lot of custom cutting. Best thing to do is make a 3-d template out of tape or something the exact shape of the light, line it up on the car, trace some cutting marks and start chopping. I would go to a body shop myself.

Uh, I don't know if you're trying to throw this guy off or if you're serious but in any case you're way off You don't need to have anything done to it. As long as you can splice wires and handle a wrench it'll take you an hour. You have to remove the bumper cover and bumper. Your original USDM lights have a bracket piece mounted behind the actual lights. Take this bracket out (after removing the lights of course) completely and lose it (you won't need it). Your JDMs should bolt up to the same place the bracket bolted up. Then just connect the splices. The hardest part is getting your usdms out because of that killer bolt right under the light but the JDMs don't have that so they go in real easily. DON'T take it to a shop!!!! They'll take lots of your money for something that takes a couple hours at most to do yourself. Let me know if you encounter any problems

Yeah that's it. Well, and you gotta splice them in but that's easy. I don't know what these guys ^^^ were thinking.

Actually you take the usdm mounting brackets out too. The JDMs don't use the mounting bracket. Its like five hex bolts.

No man, they're direct bolt in. And my set came with PIAAs and the light output is about twice that of my old USDMs.

if you would have invested the same amount of money into hid's and a set of retrofit projectors, light output would be about 10X that of the jdm's....

They drop right in , these are the 2 piece headlights that you are talking about ? I presume that they are, drop them and go.... I have CF headlights on my CD, The only modification was to cut into the fender a little, the corner lamp is a bit wider but that was all.

check them out below:

did he not just say the sir headlights? the sir ones are one piece (which are in the shape of the 6th gen usdm accord). those need lots of cutting to make fit. if you're talking about two piece 5th gen with the corners then all you need to do is cut the headlight bracket on top and bottom so that the corner fits.

Nothing needs to be cut!! You can unbolt the brackets behind the lights and take them out. Its like 4 or 5 hex bolts. It'll be really easy once you start doing it.
