my plans are to run 225/50/15 front, 205/50/15 rear. but my rims are only 15x6.5 would a 225 fit? its going on a DC2 i'm going to be using this for both road corse and drags.
if anyone has a pic of their car with this set up pls post. i would like to see the difference in diameter between the two sizes. thanks

Heya Ed,
Like Jeremy said I had that for a while on the front, actually they were 225-45-15 Hoosier A3S03's. It was a little wider than 205's in the back on the same rims, but the shorter sidewalls would be angled in on the rim like a sno-cone. Not a big issue since the Hoosiers are really stiff. A 50 aspect-ratio on a softer sidewall tire would be able to bulge more and mount easier, but its not ideal for supporting it. Try a 7-7.5 width if you can.

unfortunately i cant find bfg g force, 225/45/15. all i can find is 225/50. the reason i asked if it would fit 6.5 is that i already have the rims. but who knows maybe i'll see if i can get 2 rims for the front. thanks
btw someone recomended 205 fron, 195/55 rear. this might be a good idea, but since i'm 10 min. from the dragstrip i find myself going there alot. and 205 does not cut it for me. i was trying to avoid buying 2 tires just for drags.
to those that know me, well i'm lazy. i don't like swapping tires.

For any particular tire (brand and model), you can look up the range of approved rim widths in the specs on the tire manufacturer's website and/or on the Tire Rack website.

I've seen people using 225/50-13s on CRX DX stock-sized 13x5" wheels. As mentioned, it isn't ideal (a much wider wheel such as 8-8.5" is optimal), and they look like balloons, but it can be done.

ok thanks, i actually also have rota subs to put them on. now i'm under the impression that these tires are for autox and road corse, but can be used for drags. someone told me they are drag radial. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...FA+KD
