can u figure this out?? cause i sure cant..
whats up i just put a b series swap in my 90' dx hatch, but before the swap i put in my tanabe suspension from my 94 bubble, front and back.. back struts went in no problems.. the front needed the 92-95 wishbones to fit the bottom of the struts (92+ is fatter then 88-91 civic's)... anyway they are the same exact thing as the 88-91 ones but just with a bigger openin on the bottom.. so yea put them in no problem now...drop the motor in put in the brand new axles (90 teg), and half shaft.... drive it down the road the car vibrates so much i cant even drive it.. so like any normal person would i checked all the bolts and ball joints.. they were all tight then i figure hmm maybe its the axles binding up.. got brand new axles ... same result, then stupid me clueless of what else it could be other then spindles or tie rods, but i knew it wasnt that cause they worked fine b4 the swap was put in... but anyway this is what i dont get.. i raised up the coil overs about 2 inches.. and the vibrations stopped, now its only when i make right turns, or under acceleration in 5th gear.... some weird **** heh?.. anyone have any suggestion as to what i can do to lower my car so it dosent look like a truck and still drive around with no vibrations.. im thiking its the axles even though they are brand new..ya think hasport axles might be a better fit even though these should work fine.????
dang.. could it be the dust shields. im not sure if that could cause the vibrations or not. cause i read a lot about that happening with the b series swaps??
could be a number of things. When your car is lowered the angle of your axle might be too out of line for the cv axle to spin smoothly, causing a vibration due to the angle of the cv joint. Could also be your differential, or can be an axle not locked in causing it to do it in turns??

hmm... good points, its not the axles not being locked in, its not the diff im sure cause i drove this tranny before i put it in my car... and the angle of the cv joint is kinda understandable but what could i do to fix that??? try the hasports or something else i can do??

My car does the same thing and i haven't figured it out yet. Ive used several different axle setups and nothing has worked so far. Ive heard that some importers power wash their motors pretty hard
and it can wash out the grease in the half shaft bearings. So that may be a cause for vibration if the bearing is dry.

1st gen hasports.. but i had the new billet driver side mounts (the side that shakes)... in there too and it still did it.
