i am thinking of picking up a used bike in the next week or so. where can i check the vin before i purchase. carfax only does cars, but is there a similar way to check bikes?

The norm is on the Headstock for the frame and/or VUN plates on the rails. Call Suzuki/Yamaha etc and they will help out.

 

sorry i guess i was unclear. i have the vin off the bike, i want to make sure its not a salvaged or stolen bike
