Default 97 Accord EX DC Sport header

I got a crack small crack on the header. Should I get it welded or just get a new one?

I don't think so. I got the header in 98. I figured since it was a DC it would last forever, but I guess not. I think all headers are all the same, name brand or not, but everyone insists that DC is the best.

well ive heard a lot about the stainless headers cracking. my suggestion would be to get new ones or put the stock manny back on cause if they started cracking theres probably going to be more on the way

you said DC is probably not the best. Im in the market for a header, what do you think is good and do you guys think it really makes a difference whether its ceramic or stainless steal?

if ur on a budget, for f22b, is go with greddy stainless.....otherwise, go custom.....

no matter what, ull want a 2.5" or so collector, and many aftermarket standard production headers dont come w/ 2.5"......which means no cat for you if u want to make the biggest difference

Yea, it cracked where the runners meet the flange. It's about a 1" crack. Isn't greedy a little over priced?

Are you sure it is not where two runners meet?

I had a DC Ceramic header crack where two runners meet, near the flange. Luckily I filled out my warranty card when I bought the header, and it was within the 2 year warranty period. DC replaced the manifold. New one is a year old with no cracks. I still am expecting it to.

from what i understand, your not going to notice a difference between the stock EX header, and the DC sport header, as far as performance goes. The EX header is about as good as it gets.
