I drive a 94 si coupe (civic) and yesterday when i went to close the sunroof, it seemed to stick almost and the motor sounded llike it was struggling to move it forward. when in ventilation mode the passenger side seems to be sitting lower than the drivers side, and that seems where it is stikking, should I lube it up or is it more serious

 

sounds like u just need to lube it up. if it has no lube, the motor will struggle of course. hopefully thatll do the trick for you.

 

what kind of lube would u recommend? and would i just slide it in the tracks

 

WD40.. some kind of grease or something. Helped mine good enough.

 

i reccomend some white lithium grease, you can find it at CT or something similar to that. Keep it well lubricated and just make a habit of checking it periodically. good luck.

Mine was doing that not too long ago so I put some lithium grease and it has gotten better. I've been noticing though that sometimes when I got to open it doesn't open right away. It'll pop up a little, and then you have to drive a bit and after a few tries I can get it to open all the way. Anyone else have this problem? It's not a huge deal but it is kind of obnoxious.
