FS: D-Series Civic Exhaust Header, Recoated w/ Pics
I am selling a Bosal Brospeed Exhaust header for a Honda D-series motor. I believe the header was designed for the 92-95 Civic SOHC motors, but it will also work on the 96-00 SOHC motors, as I was running it on my 96 DX Civic. Two-piece, 4-2-1 design. Accomodates 1 O2 Sensor. Mild steel construction. Was bead-blasted then recoated in a matt black ceramic-based coating, then cured via a 3-strage curing operation. Manifold looks brand new and is CARB approved. Not shown but the gasket and bolts to assembly the two pieces is also included.
Asking $120 for the header. I am located in Houston. Prefer pickup. Delivery will cost extra. I estimate $15-$20 S&H. I can get you a quote if you like.

I was reading that these are more like OEM replacements more than performance related... true?

I am certainly not qualified to answer that question as I did not design the header, and most likely neither did anyone on the boards. What I do know is I have dealt with Bosal engineers before regarding their header design. The specific application was the 93-97 2.0L Ford Probe. There design philosophy was certainly not to build a OEM equivalent. They design and dyno test all their designs. Bosal engineers provided me with dyno data of their design evolution for the 2.0L Ford Probe. That hardly sounds non-performance oriented to me. Is this header a radical race header? Absolutely not! It must be mild to maintain CARB certs, nor is that Bosals intended target. Is the DC 421 radical? Absolutely not! It also has CARB approval. This header has primaries and secondaries that are nearly identical to the D-series DC 421, and comparing this header to my 96 OE cast iron manifold its blatantly obvious to see which has a greater flow capacity.
