Default New to H-T, not to the Forums

Greetings, My name's Miguel and I come from Civichatchback.com

I am other wise known as Smeegle or Chaser

I have a DAP 99 Hatchback with some mods you guys might not be to agreeable with. I have a Bodykit on the Front and Rear Bumper's. (R33 on the front and the infamous Blackwidow on the back) I really want to get rid of the rear one cause its the biggest pain in the ***. I do have some taste though. I have a CTR wing. 7 Shooter Rims painted white and Proxes4 Tires! My car looks clean and decent (xept for the rear black widow body kit)

Mods:AEM Strutbar, Intake, K & N airfilter, and Custom Exhaust

Next Mods. Rear Discs
Bigger front brakes
Suspension
inexpensive D16Y8 Engine Swap (I rather get the whole Engine and Tranny instead of just gettin Y8 Head and EX tranny, save myself some problems with the mini's)
Future Mods: Save up for a JDM ITR engine (K20A)

Well thanks for letting me waste ur time :D

Let me know what you think and all suggestions are acceptable, even flames!
Thanks you and have a good night or Nice day!

yes, most definitely ditch the body kit and go back to OEM, and then all you need to be accepted here is JDM goodies and a motor swap. Oh, and a set of Rota's

Oh yes lets all hop the jdm bandwagon. Function over form yO! Just like those jdm ac vents and those jdm road flares . They outperform the usdm ones 3-1 yO! hah....Well, if you like the kit, then keep it. I myself, am not a fan of kits, but hey its your ride, not mine. As for the d series being a shitty motor, I'd like to see some hard evidence backing that statement up. A lot of D haters here, but do a search and you'll find plenty of good info on the y8.

Naw..not referring to you, I'm just saying from what i've seen in general. Don't get me wrong, I love B,H, and K series motors, its just i can't stand seeing the D get bashed when it actually has very good potential (and it actually doesn't cost much to make a D go fast).

Welcome to H-T - make sur ethat you search before you ask questions - more than likely the topic (and lots of information) have already been covered in the past.

i soooo disagree that d-series motors are shitty. for the same amount of money u put into b series...u could make as much or more than 400 hp boosted. i, myself, have a boosted b-series motor but theres soooo many people on THIS forum with sohc making more power than some of us b-series guys.

u do what u want to do with ur car man and i dont mind the front bumper and rear is ok too but its causing air to trap behind it.

i like everythig about the car besides the wheels, and the front and rear bumpers. bodykits are stupid as hell. ugly as ****. put it back to stock, put gs-r or itr brakes on it, give it a nice suspension setup, and swap the engine. you'll be set

also, IMO stock bumpers with the CTR lips is just gorgeous. can't beat OEM honda

if u like the kit keep it. dont jump on the bandwagon just because everyone tells you ****. but i myself dont like body kits. and most of the people on h-t are out of the body kit faze. but if u keep posting pics of your car your gonna get flamed to death.so my suggestion just lose the bumpers. stock is better than anything else

Then align, tune, and correct the camber otherwise you're a ricer.

wwwhhhhaaaattt? Depends what you're doing with the car. You can go pretty low before too much camber becomes a problem. As long as you get the toe set right nothing wrong with camber. This forum really cracks me up. Damn it's gone down the *******.
