Fitting 16X7 wheels and 215/45/16 tires on my 91 crx?
What is neccessary to fit 215/45/16 azenis' on my crx? I have some 16X7 stern's that im tryin to prep for track duty. What kinda prep do you do to your fenders to get it to fit without rubbing? Does anyone have pics of 215's on a (street)91 crx?
This is not the answer that you are looking for....
First of all-Offset is critical IF you are lowered at all. Second, why go to 16" when most will say 15" is fine. The various wheels available in a 15x7 will clear if you roll the rear fenders and keep some negative camber (track cars particularly). Up front be very careful about turn radius for clearance in the wheelwells. Our CRX is currently on 14x6 and Falken Azenis 195-60/14s and the rear clearance with factory Camber (lowered car) is very close. Then again we have stiff springs all around. 15" wheels in a +40 will be fine on this car just as the +38 offset is now.

I'll get back at ya with the offset. I ran the same setup on my teg and with just rolled fenders it did fine. I also ran 14" Azenis on my panasports for track duty. Yet,they have gotten very worn out. I always wanted to make a step up from the 195 size also. I've got these 16X7 sterns just itching for tires and track time.......

I'm going to be trying to put 16x7.5 Koseis with a +43 offset on my 99 EK hatch.
I'm also going to try and put the 215/45/16 on there. We will see if we get any rubbing. I might need to get my fenders rolled but I have no previous experience doing this. Any insite or info I should know (where to get it done, how much $, how much do they need to be rolled)?

i ended up bending the lip in the inner edge with a small rubbet mallet....than used a bat a rolled the edges. Than i used this Wurth rustproofer for cheap insurance(crx quarter panels with no rust are priceless). Im tryin to dig deep in my pockets for these 215's....i totally want to try it. And even if it doesnt work i can always throw them on my integra. It'll compliment the 4.7 drive anyhow.
