When the trunk lid is closed on my Del Sol, I can jiggle it up and down about 1/4" to 3/8". I have seen other Del Sols and when their trunk lid is closed, it is snug. There doesn't appear to be any adjustment. Any ideas? The latch mechanism looks OK and I can't see where anything has been bent. It just looks like the trunk lid is a bit high when it is closed.

 

That's weird, never heard of that before. I can look in my Helms tomorrow and see if there's a way to adjust the trunk

 

Try moving the Latch up or down , Im almost %99 sure there is an adjustment . Also check to see if the rubber stoppers need to be adjusted. If there is NO adjustment you could always take a Rubber malet and "Adjust" the hitch down a bit Hard to say without seeing the car

 

I have looked at the latch, but can't see where there is any adjustment. It seems like there should be some way to do it, but it's not obvious.

 

untightn the bolts that hold it in , try to move it down some.. If you cant move it enough to get it like you want it , make the holes bigger
