Default Competition Engineering's traction bar system, enlighten me!

http://www.competitionengineer...21001

$330 here: http://store.summitracing.com/...D9300

I know a little bit about suspension geometry and function, but I don't know anything about this. 1. how does this system work, and how does preload affect handling performance? I could give a crap about something that would help launch & 1/4 mile times while sacrificing cornering ability. 2. would this system provide such a positive effect so as to warrant the monetary cost? If 1 is negative, then that would obviously preempt 2, at least in my case. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't think it would affect cornering because EF Civics/CRXs had their LCAs hooked up like that from the factory (they didn't have A arms like us though, they are I arms.
