Default Anyone..someone? please?

Alright a few weeks ago my car broke down and left me afoot. I got it towed home and once there i looked at it after the tow truck man told me "definitly a burnt fuel pump" So i get ou there my girl friend in the front seat and me with my head under the driverside rear pannel....there IS a buzzing, or a humming i guess. So i ruled out that. Then i pop the hood and start pulling spark plugs..#1 is fine,#2 is drown in oil #3 is melted ( if you want to see a pic email me at mwelshiemer@aol.com and i'll send a pic) and #4 has the little "L" thing touching the other point..so i figured.."damn my pistons hit the valves"
Oh and for referance the timing belt was replaced a few weeks earlier by an "iffy" mechanic,
So since then i figured i can either 1) try and fix that engine or 2) get another engine...so i hit up the internet and find me the ZC DOHC engine for $600..now thats cool and all but now my delema. i'm dirt broke. So maybe if it does need to be rebuilt ( i don't want to do it)i'd rather just replace the engine with the ZC. Well today i set out all the expences for the swap and its gonna be expensive. So to get my mind off this i come here and for some reason i'm pushed to go recheck everything on my car. I took out the spark plugs and checked for spark..all fire. I smell the holes where they ( the spark plugs) go in..i smell gas...so now for the most ghetto compression test ever....

"ok sweetie just put your hand over the holes and when i bump the engine tell me if you feel air pushing"...i know it sounds stupid but it worked. #1 is pretty good #2 is equal #3..well it has no compression at all..and #4 is just like #1&2 so she said. So now i ask all you....

now what?
