Default 2004/2004 Accord Check engine Light

Sorry if this has been brought up before. But how do you get trouble codes for 2003/2004 Accord. Is it the same as 92-95 Civic? Thanks- saber

Nope, you have to jump pins 4 and 9 of the DLC.

Sorry for being a lil un informed.. heh But what is the DLC?? It's been a while since I worked on cars but my knowledge is limited to 88-95 honda civics/integra. The accord is a little new to me.

Data Link Connector. It's the 16 pin connector used for OBD2 scantools.

If you have a CEL and it is a 04, why not take it to the dealer...it should/better be under warranty.

Just my 2 cents, and I believe vatozone and the like will test/pull codes for free

I'm just wondering if you guys have any experience of Check engine light been on and off for a very short time. I have a V6 Accord coupe 2004, just go three weeks ago, my check engine light went on while I was driving on the street and went off by it self, the second time the light last til the next morning after I warm up the car it went off again. I went to the dealer, they told me that if the check engine light is not on, they can't find out what's wrong with it, they also told me that it could be the Gas tank cap is not totally seal, but since I got the car, I always make sure the cap has three clicks when I get gas.
sigh~~~~ the check engine light it's annoying~~

Find a new dealer that is willing to look into it for you.
