I know this is a little early, but I thought I'd at least get the ball rolling and try to get a preliminary head-count.
A few of us from the PNW keep talking about coming down to Infineon for the September 11-12 Honda Challenge weekend. I don't have everyone's number, so if you're reading this from Canada, Oregon, or Washington and are interested in coming, please reply to this thread or send me a PM or email.
I know James and Greg are on board, but I'm not sure about Rick, Scott, Jim, Colin, Jeremy or the Canada boyz. Maybe Rick can drum up some interest this weekend in Mission.

Keith has said he's joining us, but I don't know if that will hold water in September. Maybe Snapper will have the second car ready also.
Barring any significant changes, I'm still gung ho.

We call him Sniffles now. Ever since he missed a race because he felt a cold coming on.

Don't worry, that will be changed in 2004!!
It would be very cool if you guys can come down. We really hated having a dead car @ the track. It was torture watching the races instead of racing.

I can't think of one for Mission...
How about "Rank Crappers - Modularly Produced"

As much as I would like to make another trip to CA for Honda Challenge, I don't think it will happen this year. The way things are going recently, I may not even make Spokane next month for the race or even this month for the school.
On a secondary note related to Honda Challenge though, I did look at the rulebook again. A car that is prepared to Conference Production rules is NOT legal for Honda Challenge. It looks as if HC rules emulate IT rules specifically, so my car would be out in either case.

Alright Mike...it's a bet.
But tell Brian and the rest of the H4 guys to sandbag it so he doesn't screw up our race. I want to come home with a guaranteed 2nd place plaque.

In what manner specifically? Weight? You're allowed more modifications in IT than Conference Production.

Jim has a DX that he is converting to an SI model. Not legal within the IT ruleset.
Also, the Confernce Production engine can run higher compression and have much more headwork accomplished than is allowed in IT. Threaded body shocks are legal. The electrical is free. etc. etc.
We'll be having rulebook readings for the rookies before bedtime at all future events.

The biggest difference is the head and manifold porting. Then there is the Cam Gear being adjustable in Conference rather than shimming the crank pulley in IT and that kind of stuff. Each class seems to have its own advantages in little ways, but I do think the Head/manifold porting in conference outways the header allowance in IT.

Thats a good one! I am going to start reading the rulebooks to Reilly at bedtime. Maybe I should start with Speed Secrets though? The GCR would really **** him off, nothing like having a PO'd 4 year old at bedtime!
He did help out in the shop tonight, and actually used a breaker bar and turned a nut off of the radius arm. I explained to him that it used to be Grampas breaker bar, and now it was mine, and someday it would be his. He said he just wanted to live with me forever.

This is true, mostly only because of the Vin. ruling. If a sanctioning body wants to exclude some race cars thats a way to do it.
You need to take a look at section 12.1 of the HC rule book.
Maybe i interpret it wrong, but i think they allow IT cars. Why would they bother explaining what you can and can not do to the engine if they follow IT ruleset? Any wheel size is not a IT rule.
I think allot of the performance stuff counter acts each other anyway. I not sure they care that much for one race, especially when none of us have raced at that track before.
Crap 12:35 good night

Gottcha. Didn't realize that. Curt built my motor to IT following the 1" rule so I'm covered there.
