Default o2 sensor and resonator?

For a few months now my resonator has been making this rattling noise in my 2000 si. At first I thought it was a heat shield but I put it up on a buddys lift and they told me it was my resonator. About 2 weeks ago my cel came on so I brought it to honda b/c i have the 100k warranty. They told me the o2 sensor was bad...so my question to you guys is can a bad resonator cause an o2 sensor to go bad with time. I have told honda about the resonator for months now and they shrug it off and say it is nothing without even inspecting it. I appreciate anything you guys know in this situation.

bad resonator? no i dont think so...the resonator's only job is to DEEPIN/QUIET the exhaust sound...thats all it does. It cannot cause the o2 sensor to go bad in any way...plus its located in the back instead of the o2 being on the header or on the cat like a obdII.
