Default SOHC Greddy Kit DP solution! Look in here!

Kteller8 has informed me that if we get a Groupbuy together on the 92-2000 SOHC Greddy 15G Downpipe, he'll sell for a reduced price!

Here is what we need:

1. We need a downpipe for mock up! Whoever gives the DP, will most likely get an even better discount. This depends on Kteller8!

2. We need lots of people involved! The more the better!

3. I am not recieveing any kind of transaction, your sending money to him, just trying to help Greddy kit owners out! Post on here if your in FOR SURE! So Kteller8 can gives a accurate price!

That is correct i will be working on a solution for those with the 2" greddy downpipe:

I will be improving and making a downpipe that will be the solution for you guys.

The new downpipe, i am working on will offer some features:

- up to 2 o2 bungs, for o2 sensor and wideband;
- optional flex section on the end;
- should end up 2.5", (possible 3" available, fitment at your own risk)
- available in mild and stainless steel

any questions you can pm.

Sounds good, ... I'd be interested in a stainless for 92-95...

Any price target set?

I can send you a new greddy DP and cast O2 housing if you'd like to use it for a mock up, for your larger DP.

Interesting....

What kind of price are we talking about?

The reason I ask is I've seen downpipes ranging from $60-$80 all the way up to $300...

i sent you a PM:

next question is does everyone want the cast o2 housing? or just the downpipe?

also does everyone want a flex section or not?

these things will change the total cost, i cant give any prices now, untill i get the downpipe here and start making the 3d wire file, that the computer will use. then if we use flex, additonal o2 bungs for wideband, etc, also if i can make the flanges or have to have them made.. all changes the total cost

i'm in for one. turbo to cat, or even turbo to catback, with flex section. depending on how long it would take I can send you my DP. I still need to buy a few things before I can put my kit on.

I think the Cast O2 housing is a bit of a restriction as it necks down considerably at the flange. personally, I would like to try to eliminate that bottleneck and have a larger diameter straight through. But dont let me decide for everyone

Boostfed says he'll be providing the DP. So we'll just go with that.

I agree eliminate the stupid cast housing.

I'm interested as well. I don't have a Greddy kit I am putting my own together, but I have the cast manifold T25 made by Greddy or HKS (looks like the Greddy unit.) I'd like a 2.5 downpipe directly out of the flange, no cast section since I don't have one! Need to keep A/C also. Flex pipe sounds like a good idea too. When it gets designed and priced out let me know please!

The T25 would have to have the same exhaust flange pattern as the 15G to work. But I am sure Kteller8 could do this.

im in... assuming that the price is decent. im guessing that there isnt a difference for a 95 del sol. And to get this straight it would eliminate the cast iron part that the 2 inch DP connects to. pm or email kabaroo@hotmail.com

im down, 2.5/ w flex section and maybe 2 o2 bungs. get a flex section especially if you plan on putting in polyurathene motor mounts or bushings. they cause excesive vibration, and on my buddies car cracked his greddy sp exhaust. so flex is a must in to cat or testpipe. thanks

ok, this is the downpipe:

simple 3 bot up top, ending down to a 2 bolt flange.. no problem. this i am not worried bout..

http://home.test-afl.homecom.c...6.JPG

not this bothers me.. cause its not a normal flange.. something i ll have to have made outside and special ordered..

Now let me ask you guys. what is your thoughts on keeping the o2 housing and having a stepped downpipe?

go from the 2", to 2.5"?
even could be possible to go 2-2.5-3" at the end for those who want 3" at the end:
this would be done by using a flared extension:

only reason i ask, is without a car to mock it up on.. it would be hard to juse say make a 90 instead of using the o2 housing, or whatever..

shoot me your thoughts.
