hey guys i have toms motorsport coilovers on my 89 civic and it sits way too low and i have had enough of bottoming out and letting the tires rub so i am wondering how easy it is to raise it up about half and inch? thanx
do you have the special wrenches that came with the kit?
Jack it up, take the tire off(maybe not if you turn the wheel and your skinny), use the wrenches to turn the plate at the bottom of the springs
Might take 2 tries to get your car perfect
This is ONLY if you have adjustable coils though, dont know what your kit is

yeah they are fully adjustable, and yes i have the keys/wrenches for it, lol, i am figuring it out now, after someone told me that its so tough because they are seized, lol
i have the exact same coilovers
there a copy cat of ground controls
Those srews will be siezed if you have been riding on them a long time take it from me i did this a couple months back changing shocks.
First spray some liquid wrench on them and let it sit, then get an allen key with a ratchet, not the ones that are just the allen key or else you will strip the head and then you can't move the collar(trust me i did had to take it to machine shop
). But the method i just told you should work, i did it on three of the four and never stripped the head.
make sure to push in reall hard and turn at the same time.
and i'm sure any heat on the bolt will make it much easier for you!
