6th gen accord engine swap + auto manual conversion
i started this project about a month ago, when i pulled the prelude motor. yesterday i pulled my 98 accords motor, and soon the h23 and 5spd tranny will be going into the accord.

im gonna keep updating, right now im working on the pedals. i dont know how to do the wiring yet, im gonna have to figure it out when i get there. this brake pedal is a bitch.
sweet ur doing what i plan on doing, take as many pics as possible.
Im still in the process of rebuilding my H22, im really really really slow
Oh and one thing i thought i might mention is, that if i were you id take the head lights front bumper and fenders completely off the car, that way they wont get damaged or scratched when ur working on the car, its pretty easy to do.

I heard about this too. Some say that you should also remove the whole front, including the radiator, since they easily crack.
All I did was to remove the hood and front bumber.
Good luck with the swap. Dont' forget to replace the timingbelt, water pump...etc.

i have neither right now, i have been trying to gather information from other 6th gen owners who have an H series motor, but there are not many, and they arent too helpful.

if i were you, i'd try my best to find a 97-up h22 manual transmission, or 98-up f23 manual tranny. they will bolt up to the 4th gen H23 fine. reason being is because the 98-up accords and 97-up preludes changed transmission mount styles. the 6th gen accord and 5th gen lude tranny mounts have the big rubber mount bolted to the chassis while the older 4th gen ludes and 5th gen accords have the rubber mount bolted to the tranny itself. i don;t think i'm being too descriptive so i hope you understand what i'm trying to say.
*cliff notes...
use 98-up f23 manual tranny or 97-up h22 manual tranny(closer gear ratio) if you want to avoid tranny mount problems

yeah...all 92-96 H-series engines use the same mounts.
like i mentioned earlier... you will have to find a 97-up H, or 98-up F series manual transmission to avoid any tranny mount problems. frustrating, isnt it?
something else i just thought about.... maybe you can try contacting HASport and check to see if they make a custom mount to use the older H-series tranny in your 98 accord.

what should i take pics of? everything is all in pieces right now... i cant figure out which way to put the spring in on the clutch pedal!!
i am probably going to order a 98 accord tranny side mount from the dealer, for $36 or so. i am still concerned about the driver side engine mount because someone told me that what i was planning on doing isnt going to work.
yea, and the obd wiring is gonna be a pain in the ***. and on top of everything, my 90 integra that i am driving in the meantime is giving me starting problems...

just take random pics of anything, empty engine bay, new engine going in, before and after pics of pedals, old engine etc etc
we all like looking at so called pointless pics

A nice DIY write up of installing clutch pedals etc would be very very cool
Also wiring obd1<>obd2 write up would be cool too
