For those of you with stock clutches need some answers please????
Hey guys,
I just got my trans replaces at a dealership here in Michigan and they put a new clutch in the car. The clutch feels great, BUT It engages all the way at the top of the throw of the pedal. It seemed that before they did the surgery that it engaged closer to the ground. I know with the hydraulic clutch, it is not adjustable, but is could there have been something they did to it to make it grip right at the top? When I say the top, I mean that I just have to push the clutch in only 1/6 the way in for it to completely disengage. For those of you with stock clutches, at what point in the throw of the clutch pedal does your clutch disengage??
thanks for the help!

thanks a lot guys, now I am at ease! It is the same with me, when I get in my 1994 SE-R, and get back into my R, it feels so different, that it seems wrong. but if that's the way it is, that's cool!
thanks again,

Also, the clutch pedal is self adjusting for wear and should be adjusted back to specifications whenever you change out your clutch. I know because when I put in my new clutch it acted really funny untill I adjusted it (engaged really high, didn't even work when fully compressed). As long as you are within the above mentioned spec of free play, I wouldn't worry about it. If not, I would take it back to have it adjusted.
