It's going to take a while, they have many projects going on as always. I think Hybrid Racing is working on a kit for the ef chassis too.

They allready have it done. They put the K20 in the yellow hasport rex. Last month they had a EK hatch with a K20 from a type R and a full race turbo kit on it. http://sco.dragracing.com/az/p...0.jpg

Nope. I think there's going to be a article on SCC about it or the EK can't remember which one.

but none of them have been done w/ mass production mounts, they were one offs, like the h22 turbo in the back of a delsol...

and in that sense are about as good to the rest of us, as the k20 in the lotus kit.

i want to call hasport and see what they actually say.

i talked to wil at hybrid-racing adn he said the EF kit should be done around summer time and they are trying hard to make it as much bolt in as possible.
may have little welding involved he said

the only thing that sux is that about K-series into EF is how tall the motor sits.
Did u see what they had to do the "allmotorpacman's" crx?
from the looks of it not even the Si-R hood will clear it.

i brought that up wheni talked wil at hybrid-racing and he said they will offer a custom hood scoop to go with the conversion

i just hope somone does i nice kit for the EF's

There will be a custom scoop with the conversion. To be added to the email list send your name and email to will@hybrid-racing.com.

Thanks

The EF Kswap is waiting for a hood solution. I will have one in a car before too long, but the kit's release won't be out for some time.

As a business owner, I have to point out though that i have my doubts a hood company will jump all over this until after the mounts for these swaps go on sale. Its simple supply and demand. I sell embroidery... it would be like me going out and making shirts for all the car clubs in my area, and then ask them if they want them or not. And if that is not the case, then what is the hood issue?

I have an EF painted Lamborghini pearl yellow, sitting and waiting for these mounts to be done. This is going to be the showcar that represents my business, and i will not put a dime into it until these mounts come out. I have no interest in the B-series engines in this car.

I for one would buy a set now, as I am confident a hood solution will come up soon, and in the time being I can make a working semi solution. So for those of us who dont care about the hood issue, why do we have to wait longer?

I realize you are a busy guy Brian G and that your company does a lot of R&D, but what is the real world amount of time until these mounts are ready, hood issue aside? I'm sure there are plenty of those like me who are not worried about the hood.

as soon as the quirks are worked out... the mounts have been tested, and the aftermarket hood companys :fiber images...VIS..ect...makes some nice hoods for the swap, and the price of the motor comes down, i will have one. till then im saving my $$$$

can't wait till everything is released.
