PCA just got notice that Shenandoah won't be ready until September

edit: The wording was "All events through August 31st have be cancelled." No mention was made of it acutally opening in September.

Wasn't there someone that was taking 10-1 odds a few months back that it wouldn't be ready until November? I don't remember what thread that was in and am too lazy to search.

Just got off the phone with Cobetto. He says no portions of the weekend will be omitted as a result of running one less track, but schedules/locations may be changed (i.e. Hype-R-Drives on JC instead of Shenandoah.)

This (Sept 18, 19) event was moved to Summit Main a few months ago. No problem there. We are working on the July 9, 10, 11 event options. Ugh. All HPDE and races will still be held (on Summit Main) but we are determining what to do about Friday activities and hyperdrives.

who's on the main track on friday? Is that an FAT?

I would not mind giving JC a try, it would be all new to me :D

 

I have 3 bets outstanding on this. Those of you who placed bets I'm coming to collect.

I think the gov't has the track on July 9th. I could be mistaken however.

I didn't make those odds but some of you may remember that I had spoken to someone in the know at VIR a few weeks ago and there isn't going to be any racing on this track in 04, take my word for it !!!!!!!!!

They might have it ready for a lapping day but I don't see a race happening there in 04.

Good thing, I'd hate to see a race occur before they figure out how the carousel is gonna work. Do they really expect racers to form a single file line?
