Default what should i do?

i have a 98 accord, 4 cyl and all the performance mods i have are a cat-back.

here are my choices:

1. turbo the stock f22
2. get an h22 and turbo that

what is a good site to get a nice turbo for my accord. and what do i have to do to my engine in order to run 10 psi safetly?

ahhaha wow.. turboing ur stock motor.. and turboing an h22a are 2 waaaaaay different things bud.. i personally am doing #2 in ur list! but im building mine first!.. if u have lots of money to spend and alot of know-how then boosting an h22a can give u some incredible gains. but it will be insanely pricey.. boosting ur stock f22.. is what i was going to do first!! u can boost no more than 9psi safely on an f22 (stock) and on h22 u can only boost about 6-7 psi safely (stock)... and best way to get a turbo kit.. is to buy it piece by piece.. and do not cheap out.. if u cheap out u will not be happy when parts fail!.. only buy quality parts from well known names.. like Tial, Vortech, Greddy, Revhard, turbonetics.. etc etc... post up what kinda money u are interested in spending and then it will help alil more on ur decision

i just bought a FMAX/Turbonetics Stage 2 kit.
I got it for 3200. Pretty expensive but pretty much bolt on as well.
I had a little trouble with the intercooler piping.
My kit came with injectors with a MF2 to control them. The kit is supposed to run 8psi and give you 75 to 100 whp on a stock motor. http://www.turbokits.com

Make sure every thing is wired correctly before running or you will blow your rings and ring lands like i did. NEW MOTOR FOR ME..............REBUILD OLD ONE!

for reference.......F series blocks are solid, and if tuned right and in good shape, can take 10+ psi daily driven...........theres no "set" level at which an engine will fail....

take two identical F sereies right off the assembly line, and boost them (of course u gotta brake them in first ).....one might last till 14 psi, while the next might survive at 20psi........so u really cant make general statements about ALL f series of ALL H series w/o knowing the exact condition of the motor in ?....

turbo stock motor > turbo swap.....its better to still be an accord at heart

i have also heard from numerous people that the stock F23 or f22 can hold boost pretty good!

you have a pretty nice car for someone in high school so coming up with the money is only a matter of time, and i have to repeat the sentiment, this isnt an episode of X-files, take the green neons off, in fact, i'll trade them to you for a pair of JDM headlights or something, in the name of humanity!

turbo the f! turbo the f! imo, stock motors, the f is better for turbo, soley because of the lower compression. of course the h will put out more power at 6 psi or so, but turbo the f, and then buy the h later, and send it to a shop to get built, and then use the turbo kit to turbo the h.

not all parts would convert......in the long run, itll be cheaper to build and turbo the F, then to buy, build, and turbo an H.....turboed, the F can make all the power you could ever want for a street car/occasional stip visit.....most who have them will tell you that H22 + Turbo wasnt worth the hassle, though if it does happen to work out, it is amazing
