Default JL 12W6v2 question

hey guys i might be getting a JL 12w6v2 for 200bucks. is that a good deal? also should i get 2 or 1??? i want something that bumps but NOT too loud. i just want to hear a nice clean bass that is noticable when it hits. and im planning to power the subs wit a 500/1. so give me your opinion. thnkz

i went with my friend to downtown LA like 6 months ago.. got 2 jlw6v2 for 255$ each with the box manual n all that.. 200 sounds good considering the prices i hear around town for that stuff now adays.

I had 2 12w6v2s and they get real loud.I did 148.3(legal) in a shitty box.I'd go with one if you don't want it too be to loud.This is an excellent choice of speaker.peace.

^^^^^ I agree one will be sufficiant for what sounds to be what you want. With that 500/1 amp it will hit super clean and loud. Good choice and by the way...there is no price on quality, $200 is a steal!!

The 12w6v2 is an amazing woofer, and $200 is a great price as long as it's new. If you are trying to keep the amount of space taken small then do one woofer in a small sealed box, if you are not worried about space and think you'll want more sound then use 2 in a large ported box. I wouldn't use 2 12w6v2's in a sealed box on only one 500/1, it will work and sound well, but you won't get everything out of those woofers that you should.

that sub is gonna kick u in the pants. All you need is one, and if you only need a bit of bass it will DEFINITELY do the trick
