Default Progress pics of my mild GSR build *56k ok*

Thought I might post a few progress pics of my new motor build. Motor should be fully assembled and in the car within 2 weeks.

Block is cleeeeeeeeean, yet to be honed though. Using the GSR crank and rods, and P30 pistons.

P72 head, ITR valvetrain, CTR cams, Skunk2 IM, Hondata IM gasket:

More pics coming during the build

UPDATE: 6/17/04

Rods and pistons:

UPDATE: 7/2/04

UPDATE: 8/13/04

Okay it's been a long time now, but finally some progress has been made:

We're in the progress of swapping over a few things from the B16 to the B18, should be running tonight

UPDATE: 8/14/04

Motor is in and running.

Cranked on the first try and runs perfectly. Engine was broken in with the Hasting's procedure to seat the rings, and it doesn't smoke one single bit!

HUGE HUGE HUGE props to ShadyEH2 for all of his work and thanks to everyone else who helped along the way. I'll have pics up as soon as I go get my camera from Shawn's house, must've forgotten it in all the excitement

And oh yeah, for any doubters out there:

B18C > B16A

UPDATE: 8/17/04

Well here are the pics, still waiting for my header to get here so the motor is being broken in with the stock manifold

Still waiting for my parts to get back from the body shop as well:

Miles on the motor:

Update: 7/23/05

Soooooooo....... Finally and update:

The car was tuned last weekend on a dynojet dyno. Results?

Baseline:
171whp
122wtq

Final:
177whp
130wtq

Solid gains of 10 ft/lbs were made from 4-6.5k

Drives like a totally different car

These numbers from an all-OEM build, and I still get 32mpg

You don't have the image of the B18C1 in higher res do you? It would make a bad *** background image.

Sorry, man. I did - but I resized it and saved over the hi-res copy.
