Default HELP wid header install

i just put in a greddy header in my car, my question is there are those two bolts connecting from the cat to the header. when i was taking off the stock one i busted those two bolts. So wat i did was bought some bolts from home depot and doubled up on the washers to compress the spring. Is this ok? or should i go to the dealer and get those bolts. the car is running great but i dont know if those bolts were neccessary and if in the long run those bolts from home depot wouldnt hold up and the spring would jus pop off while im driving.

lose the heat shield. it's not gonna cook anything. tell your friend to stop cooking with his motor .

before you remove it, please regard my last post as a joke. i am only kidding. just tighten it up. maybe it's rubbing on something, in which case you can just bend it out of the way.

it seems to be rubbing against the o2 sensor on the cat.....so i put a nylon tie around the heat shield to clamp it down. took it for a test drive and it seems to no rattle as much.....but its still there...........i think i might try bending it out the way like u said..........
