vtec conversion...what about existing wires?where do they splice to?
okay guys...here's a simple question. I am almost done swapping to a '95 Vtec motor but there's one obstacle in my way. I have a '90 hatch and already converted to mpfi. I know the wiring diagram for the vtec but still there's still one problem.
I know that the A8 pin is to the solenoid and B5 is to the oil pressure, but what happens to the wires already in the pin location? Do I just forget them or do they hook up somewhere else?
Please give me some advice or just simply tell me that the wires don't go anywhere!!! thanks a lot.

i did/am doing the same swap...do u have a jumper harness? cuz if u do all the wires are added to the harness... and they are color corrdianted...all u have to do is make the jumper harness wires longer and connect them...
sorry man, I don't have the jumper harness. the only one I have is the original ef Dx harness converted to si. that is why I'm wondering what happens to existing wires already going into the ecu. what troubles me is when I change the A8 and B5 pins with the new wires to the oil pressure and solenoid, what happens to existing wires that were in A8 and B5 originally.
do they just hang around the harness unconnected or do I have to redirect them somewhere else? please reply...

mr. carpnenter...thanks for replying. so you're telling me to just run new wiring and forget about the original ones right? sorry for not understanding.
yes. when i got done with mine it would'nt start and zdyne gave me a list of wires to cut at the ecu if it did'nt start. i cut them only all to find out it was a ground but i've cut a8 and b5. car starts and runs with no codes. you might want to tape them up though so they're not exposed.
