Maybe he's having problems with vtec and needs to know when/if it comes on...what's with your smart comments? How about eveyone posts what they've done to their car so we can all decide who's cooler an who has the worst ideas ever.

As for the original post, i know people have done it on here usually using an LED or something else but it shouldn't be that hard. Try a search up top.

There was nothing said as far as trouble shooting goes, and if this the point in cast then I retract my original post. Seeing as it would be a pointless mod and be more distractive than anything I deemed it stupid. To have a big bright light in your face while you are driving fast just dosen't sound like my cup of tea but to each his own.

turn up your bell tones and you will here vtec...lol

to tell you the truth the post above that has the to lights is awsome casue you have one that comes on right before you hit vtec and one right when vtec hits. i think this could be an avantage in some forms of raceing so you can stay in the general area of vtec. so no power is lost.

Im with stupid... when the silenoid gets power the light will as well, if of course its tapped into the same circuit. This would be the best idea. Because if he ran an RPM activated switch it would come on regaurdless of VTEC. What if VTEC isnt engaging but the light is still coming on?

Tap into the same wire that powers the VTEC silenoid and you will be fine.

As far as the idea being ricey, ya I think its ricey. But its his damn car, if it floats his boat who gives a **** right?

Man, unless you're deaf VTEC is pretty easy to just hear, but a light would be cool also I guess.

^^^this has nothing to do with the VTEC shift light being a bad idea. So you should stop crackin wise when you know nothing about me and my tuning background. If you can't tell that VTEC is ingauged and you need a light to alert you, then god help you. Get a VAFC, it'll tell you when VTEC is in. ****, you can even program it to where you want it among other things.

i don't want to get arrested.

me: "But, officer, she didn't taste like no 15 year old!"
officer: [beating me]
me: "what officer? she's your daughter??!"

i see no reason why it's helpful to have a light to see if VTEC is working... It's helpful during troubleshooting, but outside of that...?

If you're speaking about being out of VTEC being bad for acceleration, if you can't FEEL that you're in the wrong gear (or bad part of the powerband), maybe you should stick to Gran Turismo. It's painfully obvious when you're at the wrong rpm/gear.
