My oil light comes on at low rpms. like under 1k but it is fine when it is above that ..anyone have a clue on what it could be?

 

Did you check your oil level? That is oil an pressure light. It comes on when the oil pressure is low. If the light comes on cause it is supposed to (meaning the sending unit is not bad) and the oil level is fine, then you got internal problems.

 

Ya the oil level is fine .

 

Bad oil sender, loose or broken wire at sender. Bad piston rings, leaky valve stem seals, bad oil pump, stuck oil pump relief valve, clogged pick-up screen. Scored cylinder bores

If there was a dent in the oil pan would that cause the light to come on..maybe if the dent was on the sensor?????

 

Or the bottom of the pan might be pushed up against oil sump.

 

Is there anything in the front cause thats where the dent is
