well just put my stock cams back in from the skunk2 stage 1's. the car seems really hesitant and less responsive even though i remember it was way better before i put in the stage 1's. does the ECU have to adjust back to the stock cam settings (a/f ratio) from the adjustments it made for the skunk2 cams?
also, the car seems to jerk more when letting off the gas and getting back on the gas...what could that be from??? couls cam or ignition timing cause that??

In my case, I just put in S2S1's and the car feels no quicker or more responsive than before, and I've done the valve adjust and ignition check. Do we do the common wrong things here? What to do?

well when i 1st put mine in, it was kinda the same too. vtec lagged till about 5600rpm. but i think thats just a tune issue.
my exhaust got alot louder and doesnt seem to accelerate in some places even though rpms are moving up.
and from my experience, when your exhaust gets louder, you have a combustion problem. im sure many of you have noticed this

well i was thinking. does the belt tensioner have to be re-tensioned after also? see my cuzin really streched it to get back on with out tensioner. so if the belt is a lil loose, would that cause the hesitation between on and off throttle response?
maybe it skipped a tooth...make sure the timing is right then tighten the belt if it needs it...good tune-up after that should be good to go

holy **** that's some amature wrenching! yes, correctly tension the belt after inspecting closely for cuts from jaming it over the gear. replace it if it's cut up at all.
