Default Engine Swap Progress Pics (56K, Grab a Snickers)

I'm complete with the engine swap today... all thats left is my cold air intake, and recharging the A/C... it's bolted in though... here's the breakdown of what happened...

New Thermostat, Resurfaced Flywheel, Exedy Stage 1 Clutch, New Axles from StreetImport.com, MSD Wires, NGK Plat. Plugs, OEM Replacement Cap/Rotor, Shift Linkage, Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts, Shift Linkage Bushings I had left over from the 92-00 ES Hyperflex Kit, Dayco timing belt, Federal Mogul water pump, Replacement balancer for my rusted one, power steering pump removal, TPS sensor replacement from my D series original motor, new IAC valve and sensor, Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic, K&N Oil Filter, Optima Battery... that about does it... oh yea... Delsol VTEC A/C bracket... now I just need to recharge...

Here's what we got...

When I get final pics, I will post a reply in this same thread... should have em tonight...

they're SUPPOSED to be deep cycle batteries that give you some more power and cold cranking amps, that remains to be seen... i've heard they're amazing and i heard they're a typical battery... so I'm kinda trying it for myself...

i must say that so far im pretty happy... the car feels like its got more power to it... the lights that normally dim when the headlights go on... that doesnt happen anymore... so i dunno... so far

yup, its the osaka motor... here's my complaints...

TPS and IAC... broken...
Upper Radiator hose... chopped...
Balancer... rusted...

other than that, the thing was in damn good condition...

My experience with Osaka.

if there's a weight difference it isnt much... i knocked off power steering, and maintained my stock A/C...

i'd say MAYBE the motors 50lbs more or something... didnt mess with my front suspension at all... but I'd have to weigh the car to be sure

the optima batteries use a cylindrical cell design(that is why you see the bulges on the sides of the battery)... it allows for more surface area over the plates in the battery (more amps). the cylindrical design also helps protect against vibration damage.

Yea, It'll Be At the Meet ! Thanks! See ya there!

As for the ECU... p72 stocker... and I'm getting the knock sensor code... so I gotta check my wiring tomorrow...

If I knew where to get a p82 i believe... or a p78.... chipped for a b18c1 JDM, i heard it eliminates the knock sensor all together... but i dont know where to get one or how hard installation is...

everything else on the swap is gravy
