Default rear main seal replacement and clutch

I'm going to be installing my new tranny soon and I had a quick question. My rear main seal is leaking, so thats gonna be replaced once the tranny is off. My question is, should I replace the clutch and flywheel while I'm at it? Does a leaky rear main seal affect the clutch and flywheel in any way or would I be alright sticking to my current ACT clutch and stock flywheel (only about a year/20000 miles old)?

you don't necessarily have to replace the clutch and flywheel... it would be recommended though...

alright...thanks. The clutch isn't slipping or anything, but I guess if its gonna be out, might as well do it all right?

i just did this on my car..... you will need an oil pan gasket too.

REAR SEAL GASKET
OIL PAN GASKET

paid like $20 at HONDA parts dept.

i recommend resurfacing the flywheel..... but if you got cash, get a lightened flywheel.
i have a 14 lb. flywheel in my car, and i love it, not too REV happy, but does rev out a little quicker than stock.

if the clutch still grips, reuse it..... again, if you got cash... upgrade.

my motto is, if youre in there anyway, might as well upgrade.

Clutch disc is gone...PP needs to be cleaned with brake cleaner and flywheel needs to be resurfaced.

the oil pan comes off when youre doing the rear seal.

if its a new gasket, it might still be usable.
is it possible you damaged the rear seal last time you did the oil pan gasket?

thats why i had to do mine.....

installed new clutch, and i think i flubbed up my rear seal.....

so i got a lightened flywheel, and all new gaskets and redid the whole thing....

works great now.

Oil Pan Gasket:
11251-P09-A01 (Federal) $18.16
11251-P01-004 (Otsuka) $18.16

Rear Main Seal:
91214-PH1-004 (ARAI) $13.27
91214-PH3-751 (ARAI) $13.27
91214-PR4-A01 (NOK) $13.27

I believe these are the part #s for the rear main. Not entirely sure.

clutch is gone cause the oil? so, I should probably get a new clutch/flywheel.
