there are bump stops you can adjust by turning... and also you can adjust the latch part on the trunk, that looks like a U.

Where exactly are these bumpstops? I have the same problem and it is also bugging the shiznats out of me.

People are always telling me I left my trunk open.

usually up on the decklid, there are these rubber bump stops that you can screw in or out. I'll try to get some pics for you guys when I get home hopefully... man, my trunk was open for months... finally I bought a new latch and it DIDN'T FIX IT! then I crawled in the trunk and found the remote release cable was too tight so it couldn't latch. haha I was so happy when it finally latched, just wanted to share that with you guys

hahaha cool. i found the bump stops on the deck lid and i turned them all the way in... but it didn't help. looks like it may simply be the fact that my 89 rexer is showing wear and tear.

i don't think a new latch is going to help either. i'm going to try to either work on the U part of the latch (my screwdriver won't work, may need impact) or electrical tape the latch to fit deeper and lower. argh...

Not sure for the sedan, but for the CR-X not only should you turn the bumpstops out more, also wrap some tape around the hook that falls into the latch, closing it... uhmmm don't know the exact english term, but you know what I mean I guess... taping it will help... in the CR-X you do that to make it stop the squeeking noise... because it will be shut anyway (heavy glass )

thanks!
