Default Someone steal my car, here is where it is, broken down again.

So I left for lunch from the office and fixed the stock radio that's been broken for quite a while. Go to start the car again and wheeee, wheee, wheeee, nothing. "****" I mumbled to myself. Try again and nothing. Battery must be dead. Throw the charger on it and it reads 12.6 volts. "WTF" I mumbled... I look at the fuel pressure gauge and it reads 10. "hrmmm.... that's a lot lower than the normal 52 it usually reads". Call D, whine at him for a bit like usual... laugh a bit... Walk my fat *** over to Honda which is fortunately across the street (please take note it's ******* 100 degrees outside) in my 80.00 structure shirt. The nice guys at Honda wheel over a portable battery jumper and we try to start it again. Wheeee, wheeee, wheee, it's trying, c'mon little engine that could.......blah, nothing, won't start. Still reading 10 on the fuel pressure gauge. Trusty Walbro fuel pump isn't "whining" like it should. Alarm still works.

Any ideas? I'm guessing the fuel pump as is the fuel H-tech people I called. I'd honestly rather see my car get stolen, so it's sitting behind Holler Honda in Maitland, FL right now....Come and get it, but bring a tow truck. **** this car.

Clay ---> hopefully you can run over to the storage bin and get the GSR fuel pump for me. I got your tab + food tonight for the Lightning game. Thanks man.

it's hard to smile when the car is for sale and buyers back out left and right. You can steal it for free and I'll laugh all the way home.

1/4 tank y0, unless the gauge is off which is rare. Just filled it up 3 days ago. At least I have a radio for the first time in 5 months. Too bad the car still won't start though to play it

$10k as is dood!

Thats what you get for taking out your OEM Hype R pump for an aftermarket piece! Does the Walbro have Type R juice on it? I think not.

just leave the key in accessory mode, and you can listen to that radio all day long w/o the car being on,

and another thing that you might wanna check if the pump isn't getting full voltage, is the main relay, not sure if its a big problem on the civic/teg platforms, but its a bitch on our accords and preludes, they go out left and right

Marc: Check voltage at the pump. The pump might be fine (if not I know someone with a waltro for sale if you want to buy another waltro) and it might just be a bad fuse/wiring problem.

You get the radio fixed I assume? Any chance that you blew a fuse during that fix?

I've had the same Walboro for like 2.5 years and it loves me!!! 600hp++ and in 2 different cars. Never had a problem with it except when I blew a fuse one time.

If the car sounds like its trying to start sort off like its free revving as if the t-belt had jumped don't panic. Its weird but teg's all sorts sometimes sscrew themselves and sort of flood themselves. If you can take out thr plugs and give them a squirt of carb cleaner and put them back in. Then try to start it like you would a flood carb engine, hold the pedal about 1/2 and just crack it over. It helps if you use a a jumper because it will take a while to start. And if it doesn't in like 5minutes or so stop to give the starter a break and then try it again. My guess after 13years with acura is that the main relay has a momentary hiccup(technical term) and it gives you fuel and no spark for a bit causing the flood condition and when its working again its already to late since its's partially flooded and takes a while to start. The fuel causes some washing out of the cylinders and the apparent loss of compression when really theres nothing mechanical wrong with engine. Ok wow carried on a bit but at least you have another thing to go on offcourse I could be totally of base but worth a try. Oh just remembered 1 more thing the connector under the rear seat the one that leads to the fuel pump and sender sometimes gets corrosion and can cause the same **** to happen and even may cause the fuse to blow from the higher resistence. If come up with more ideas I,ll let ya know. Good Luck Oh yep thought of another like (Eddiebx) said yep the main relays do go not that often but they do try rapping on the lower part of the dash about where the coin box is, thats where the relay is. The rapping makes it get contact again if at least for that start and you get it running. hmmm any more thoughts BRB....
