Default Pulse dampener. Needed?(fuel)

I have an AEM fuel rail I will be putting on my car. I was wondering if the pulse dampener on the end of the fuel rail is needed. Thanks

Yep, I heard you dont need it but I'm not sure. I think its just to make the injectors quieter, but I'm not sure. I've seen people run without them , but I dont know if its bad or not. What kind of stud did you use Ryan?

the way i see it, is that it does not hurt the car, honda put it there for a reason, so i don't see anyreason to remove it or run without it.

The stud is what the dampener screws on to. The Fuel rail I have only has an earls fitting and a line to go straight to the fuel filter, Thats the way my friend was running it. I Need the rail to put the FP guage on it. I'm trying to free up the banjo bolt on the filter for another fuel line on top

i never really understood what they are really for, half the cars honda makes dont come with it. they dont exists on the f and h series motors, but i see them on all the d and b series. yet there is really nothing drastically different about each engines fuel system, they all run at about the same fuel pressure, injector sizing isnt drastically different either, so who knows? I've left them off on plenty of cars and no noticeable side effects so I don't think it can be that bad.

Ill have a look tonight and see what the stud setup looks like. It might be the stud from the stock fuel rail or something but Im not sure. Ill have a look and let j00 know. why on earth would anyone want another fuel line for the fuel rail?

I decided not to use it . And the rail helped clean up the wires a little. I just stashed them behind it
