Default shaved the sunroof on my si... fuction over form right?

my sunroof kept flying off at high speeds so i decided to shave it off... now i fear that people will see the si badge, and see no sunroof and think that i'm a ricer putting badges on my car to make it look like something it isnt... what do you guys think? i know a lot of hardcore jdm people probably would have kept it, but the slogan is function over form, and the noise that the sunroof makes at high speeds and the fact that it flys up and almost completely off the car means it was better to get rid of it... right?

Who cares what they think. It's still an Si, and if they actually ask you about it, you can show them your cool custom body work. I did the same thing with my 89 Si, but since it's my autocross car, I did it for weight reduction and extra head room while wearing my helmet.

you can always use a sunroof plug. lighter than welding a piece of metal over it. a CF sunroof plug would look nice.

did you use bondo? im pretty sure that will cause it to crack, since the roof probably has a little flex in it when going through tight turns.
