Default h22 crower stage II please contribute things to look for??

im planning on popping in new cams for my h22. I've had my eye on the crower stage II's for a while and now im in the process of purchasing some stage II cams. After some research i found that some people have had problems running their crower stage II's. I would like to know what people out their have run into with running this exact cam setup from the crower site below.

what I've come up with was that the rockers would not clear and would scratch on the retainers and i would have to have my rockers sent in and grinded at a machine shop. i already know that i will have to upgrade the valve spring retainer kit. I am on a budget so i would like to calculate everything before i fork everything out.

so far the list consists of:
-cams(650$)
-spring retainer kit(444.79$)
-machine work(rockers??? guesstimates price quote?)
-3 angle valve+resurface(145$ w new valve stem caps)

if anyone has a better price that they know of please feel free to input.

63422A-2 Features #63422 Stage 2 VTEC lobe with stock idle lobes for improved street performance. Recommend spring/retainer kit, but only above stock rev limit.

I had to have my rockers machined. Can't remember how much it was to do. Make sure they grind them length wise only. Its well worth it. I made 200 whp with those cams and bolt ons.

Anytime you put bigger cams in you need a shop to make sure the retainer won't bottom out and ruin the valve seal and make sure the retainer and rocker won't hit. They might have to shave the retainer down and gring the rockers. I'd just bring it to a good shop and have it done right. Replace the valve seals and valve guides. Have the valves spun and checked over. Get your head shaved .020 or .030 while you're at it. Makes for a perfectly flat head and more compression.

Factory would work just fine. You could get a thinner aftermarket one to raise the compression instead also. I'd just mill it and use the factory one.

Rockers had to be ground for me as well. My engine builder just did it without charging me anything more at the time. Smart choice to get the springs and retainers for your higher redline. Take it easy until you get it tuned, you will be WAAAAAY lean once your into VTEC with those cams.

Another thing you should consider if you haven't already is to do the manual tensioner swap, with those cams, and springs, your bound to have the auto tensioner fail quickly. Mine failed on the stock cams! You'll find that is a common thing to do with a cam upgrade.
