Default A Little Friendly Competiton with the Significant Other

Macon Autocross today...

Me - 51.101
Renee - 51.109

Uhh... Yeah.
And I had to do that on my last run to get the win.

Beats spending the day at the mall or looking and drapery patterns .

Scott, who admittedly enjoys rubbing it in sometimes.

Sure she didn't make it that close, but let you win to spare your ego?

Pretty sure. We both laid down near perfect runs trying to beat each other as we were within .3 of each other all day. She enjoys winning way too much to take it easy on my ego.

I was told that those times were #1 and #2 PAX FTD. Small region, but still not bad for a 130K Neon sporting lowering springs and a rear bar.

With a split differential like that, it basically means you both ran the same time but the you get the win after looking at the photo finish...

Casey, who remembers one event two years ago where I took first place in class by 0.001 sec. How's that for leaving 'em in your dust?

You too?!?!? I was instructing at an event and she was one of my students. We just set our wedding date for next year.

BTW, Scott, how is Renee's daughter doing at events. Is she still following in mom's footsteps, kicking butt?

<shrugs> hasn't run since March and won't again until August. She's had too many teenager conflicts.

Meeting your wife at a motorsports event - Priceless.

Want to talk about rare situations? My friend's girlfriend is a regular autocrosser, and hes not! How often do you see that!?

Granted, she doesn't own the car she drives (she co-drives with a friend from school), but shes at the events every week, whereas he has only done it twice, in my car. They are both very quick, I don't know which one is faster. I don't really care either, as long as they are slower than me.

Hell, mine has my number already. She keeps saying all she needs to keep me happy is keep me well supplied with Hoosiers. My response of course..."Will you marry me?" She said yes, so you know I am holding her to that deal.

So I don't get into too much trouble, since she does frequent this board, she does have many other wonderful qualities that prompted me to ask her as well. (In a wisper, "The Hoosiers sealed the deal though.)

my girlfriend has been around racing and the SCCA all her life. She's autocrossed RX3's, navigated Rallies for her father, and we're pretty positive she was conceived at a divisional

Wow all these couples Auto-Xing and stuff....

I wish my girlfriend would have half as much interest as some of your wives. All she can say about my car hobby is
"You spend more time under you car than under me..."

Yea mine enjoys comming to watch and get a ride once or twice in the event. I think that it would be increadible cool if i can get her to co-drive... but for now, she can sit there watch and look cute.

Yeah, same here. Just think, at the very least, having a racing girlfriend/wife cuts your racing budget in half (well, depends on how much you make compared to her), and even if she beats you, you still get to see her naked and the other racers don't!
