ITR Ultimate Street Suspension...ALL components
hey hey...
ok well here is the deal...i just sold my GSR and i have a lot of money to play around with. I want to know what suspension would be the best suspension i could possibly have in my ITR that is streetable.
my second question would be....
what do you guys think of the Apexi N1 Dampers?
i currently have bilstein shocks, H&R springs and Azenis tires on stock everything else. Car understeers on a 90 degree turn at 50 mph. At higher speeds, like 80-100...the car is surprisingly better and whips around off ramps like no bodies business. BUT, overall, the car is too damn bouncy, and the understeer around sharp corners makes me very uncomfortable.
any suspension recommendations would be great...
please dont recommend spoons or mugens coils, i dont feel like dropping 3k on coils, but any other advice is very much needed. And lastly, dont ask me what i want out of my car and then just tell me to use my money on driving schools and ****, because im already a very good driver....i need suspension comments only please.
oh ya...and what is the deal with the upper pillow mounts on some higher end dampers, like the Apexi N1's and ****? If my friend has some, but is missing the mounts, where do i get em?
sorry for so many questions...thanks

Not to start off on the wrong foot but...
If your looking for the "Ultimate Street Suspension" Your going to spend more then 3k when all said and done.
IF your looking for a great suspension whats wrong with the BC or Mugen, other then the price? Btw you did say " i have a lot of money to play around with"...
One more question,,, Whats your main goal with your caR, street, track, strip, or looks?

you think because you can take your car around a freeway off ramp at 80-100 you're a good driver?
also, just wait until you lose it on the public roads. it doesn't matter how good a driver you are, you will lose it. i think you should take your cocky attitude and SPEND YOUR MONEY TO LEARN TO DRIVE.

The Ultimate Street Suspension for the ITR is stock. Its neutral, and handles better than just about anything out there.
Some guy did just posted he got over 1G of latteral acceleration with a Bilstein / Ground Control setup.
I have Koni / GC setup, and its pretty good. You have to get it adjusted right though. Mine was understearing a bit. I raised the front up, made the left ride height equal to the right side when I'm in the car, and made the rear 1/8th inch higher than the from. Handles very well now.

My man, you will learn soon enough that dangerous driving gets you no where. Whether thats on the road or telling us about on here. Were really not trying to be ********, just trying to inform you for your sake so that we dont have to make you feel unwelcome twice.

I agree with JonD - ultimate STREET suspension = stock

How have you determined that you are a "very good driver?"
A big part of what makes a excellent driver is their ability to predict. I've read many a comment from a pro driver who would never drive fast on the street b/c their ability to predict and thus have a good reaction time is heavily diminshed. There simply are far too many uncontrolled variables when driving on the street.
My point is, if a pro driver with far superior skills to anybody on HT won't drive fast on the streets, you should reconsider if it is a good idea for you to do so yourself.

How do you know your a good driver? Did you compete in the FIA World Freeway Offramp Top Speed Championship?
i specifically was asking for some advice on suspension
i did not at anytime ask to be told to learn to drive
i also did not ask to be critized when im trying to get some good feedback here...i dont have a lot of time, but yet you feel the need to flame my thread.
i dont have to prove to anyone that i am a good driver to get suspension recommendations.
when i said i didnt want someone to recommend spoons, i only said that because it's not that i wont spend 3k on suspension, it's that i dont want to spend all 3k just on coilovers
now can someone do some recommending on suspension....like what they have or what they have heard to work well
this is a daily driver as well as a track car, autocross, road course, and etc
oh and nightrider, **** you! i never said that i was a good driver because of my ability to take an offramp at 80-100 mph. The highway was empty and it was merely a test. taking an offramp has zero skill. my 14 year old cousin could do it. dont ******* tell me to learn to drive in caps and be a ***** to me. GROW THE **** UP and shut your mouth.
sorry for the language
