Where on earth does this strut come from???
Hi all, I'm replacing my rear struts and shocks with second hand ones (just to get me by in the mean time) and i've come across a small problem. The only rear struts availabl for my EG civic have the bottom link being the round link with bushing that's designed to sit between two surfaces.
The ones I have on my EG have those bottom mounting points which are of the fork type (ie they sit around the lower control arm.

So where do these other type struts (that won't fit my EG civic) come from??
Cheers

I think I may have just worked out where the different struts are from.
The rear LCA on 88-89 CRX/Civics are hollow (like a u-channel) and the shocks bolts up in the middle of the u-channel.
My 93' EG civic has the solid LCA where the shock bolts around the outside of it (ie the shock now has the u-channel, but upside down).
Correct me if i'm wrong.
Cheers

Yep, the bottom ones are the ones I have.
Now, if I were to replace my current (dodgy home chopped rear springs) with second hand ones and all I had to choose from was EG civic springs or DA Integra or DC Integra springs, which would be the better one to go with?
