Anyone here use Omni-power Coilovers? vs. the Tein Flex type coilover?
I was curious to see if anyone has used the Omni-Power coilover setup for full-track racing? or has used the Tein Flex type setup?
I was thinking of going with the Tein Flex because it comes with the EDC, springs/coilover/upper mount...and everything I need as far as that.
Price... Omni=$680 Tein Flex= $1300+
Anyone???

Tein Flex for a full-track setup? You're barking up the wrong tree. The Flex is a good street coilover, at best.
Tein flex has some pretty funky spring rates. The reviews posted on here about omni coilovers have been good, and the pric is good also. You cant go wrong with custom rate ground controls with koni yellows either
if I bought any type of stand-alone coilovers... it would be skunk2.
But I really want a full-out coilover setup. And I like the Idea of the Tein EDC, that would be fun to play with.
The omni power coilovers.. do look really really clean though.

Well for a fact I think I am going to go with the Omni-Power coilover. I trust Omniman with his knowledge of things, I have talked to him a couple of other times, and he seems quite smart.
I hear alot of people bad-mouthing Tein. So I rather try new things anyways.
But I would like to hear from people who do have the Omni-Power Full-Coilover setup... I would love to see some input on them. Thanx.

There is really no point in the edfc unless you are very serious about tracking your car. All it does is adjust the dampening force with out the need to get out and pop your hood and trunk.
Well right now, i have a set of Tokico Illuminas with Tokico Springs(shitty SPRINGS!) I was thinking of maybe just keeping the Tokico's... and get some Skunk2 coilovers...... But I dunnoo... My friend has a set of ...**** I forgot what company... but he has a set of the full-out coilovers... and they feel nice! and handle, really really well.
I've got the OmniPower full coilovers sitting in my room right now. I'll be sure to make a thread about my thoughts and opinions on them when I get 'em installed (any day now). I'll let ya know!
omni power is skunk2....one of the guys at skunk left and started omni power....dont remember his name....but just for example....compare the skunk2 camber kits for 96-00civic and the omni power ones....exact same manufacturer...
yea, I got the package.
I sent a paypal to Omni and he sent the coilovers the very next morning. I received them... hmmm... I don't even think it was a week. Very fast shipping considering I live across the country. You should talk to him on AIM, he is always there willing to help if you have any questions and give advice too. OmnimanLSR is his s/n on AIM.

hahaha, yea ATHF 0wns j00!!
the rear shim bolt goes on the upper control arm in the rear suspension (I'm not entirely sure if that's what it's called) It's a piece that looks like a "T" that connects to your frame. All it does is push that out a lil so to correct your camber. You can get the same bolts and washers for way cheaper than Omni's selling them at Home Depot or Lowes or whatever, but I just wanted to now worry about that.
I hope that makes sense to you. If you were to look at your rear susp. you'd understand instantly.

either way... they look clean. I will most likely get that exact same package as u got. It looks worth it too me... Granted I don't know the 1st thing to camber tuning.. hahaha... I will learn some day.. and I will be able to fix it when it comes time.
