CRX wiring questions
I have an 89 CRX that's a wiring nightmare. It's a dual point converted to B16, but I got it without an engine. I put an LS engine in, it runs OK. There are probably 50 butt connectors on the wiring harness, when you jiggle the engine wiring harness, the car will run differently. How nice.
The chassis wiring harness is in about the same condition as the engine harness, but I have a complete CRX Si Chassis harness from a 90 CRX That is uncut and perfect from the taillights to the headlights that I could throw in.
My question is, can I put any year (88-91) multipoint engine harness in with my 90 Si harness in the 89 CRX? Will the gauges and everything work correctly? That would be an awfully easy way to cure a lot of headaches in this car.

My advice is go to the junkyard and see if you can get some uncut
wire harnesses from a few EF's and/ or an EG engine harness and build your own. Use your crappy butt connector harness as template. Just replace each wire by hand one at a time. Sorta like paint by numbers. LOL
Tedious, YES. But at least you'll be learning something and you'll know it's right.
