The resin is probably getting beat down by the sun.

I would take it to a body shop and have it wet sanded buffed and then have them shoot a couple coats of clear on it then have it wet sanded and buffed again. Then it will look crystal clear.

There is very little resin to sand (probably the equivalant of one coat of clear)thats why I say take it to a pro. Because if you get down into the fibers on accident your looking at a composite repair.

A cheaper alternative is 3M Hand Glaze.

It's a non-wax polish, and I use it on my Spoon wing about once a month. Applies just like wax, and you buff it out. I usually do like 4-5 coats (depends on the amount of oxidation). Of course, you will get swirl marks.

just woundering how often you wax the hood. because most of my cf pieces i wax it alot and it did not fade much. i think thats the key to keep fading down keeping it waxed to protect it

Yeah Pep Boys carries it, but my local Kragen (Checkers, etc) doesn't.

I've heard the opposite. The gel goat on most CF hoods may not react well with conventional car wax made for clearcoats, resulting in the hood looking like "POO".

I think that guys blue lights are city lights but hey I have blue city lights too haha yes make fun of me. anyway I learned not to care about my CF hood. But then it could be due to the fact that I got it super cheap. $50 used. Gel coat has created small pockmarks like some kid with real bad acne. you can only see it if you look close. But since I paid so little I only got it for the performance not the looks. I was going to get it painted but my Girl likes the black look. on my VSM EJ8

I know this might not be the answer anyone is looking for but you should bye a car cover and cover it up when it's not being driven that way it keeps all the bad and harsh UV's away from the exterior and interior of the car. JUST A THOUGHT.
