Default how is this, should i be disapointed or not with this time

ok, went to the track, heres the list, im in the right lane
92 dx hatch
jdm d15b vtec
p28 ecu
3" intake with HKS filter
oem exhaust all the way back to the muffler
cheap canister muffler
hollowed out cat
14" ls wheels with new 196/60/14 on the front @20 psi
dx tranny
diy motor mount inserts
tokico blue struts with arospeed coilovers
gutted with exception of single 12" sub and box
no power steering or A/C
89 octane gas (actualy racing was a last minute thing)
what do you guys see that i need inproving on besides the obvious needing more power. for what i have does this look good. btw, the guy in the laft lane is in a 99 si with all the bolt ons, his best of the night was a 16.3

hmm, i was launching at 5500, and it would spin for a split second hook and go. im thinking about getting vtec controller to drop my point about 400 rpm. once in vtec the car is a rocket, its just between shifts it falls out of vtec. and eventualy a cam, gear, and mill the head .030 for some more comp. what is the optimal exhaust to run with for all-motor with the 1.5. we are at about 5100 ft. it seems like everyone was running fairly slow, there was a supered ex @6psi running 16.1, and a gsr ef hatch running 16.1, and like i said my buddy has the 99 si with all the bolt ons and his fastest was a 16.3, the evo's were high 14's with mods, even the tt supras were only running mid 13's with a good amount of mods. so i dont really feel bad for what i have. just looking at where to go next. im trying to find an ex,si,y8 tranny but there all like 3-4 hundred and thats way too much, so someone hook me up.

Check ebay always have ex/si trans for 200 or so. Also your times are good for elevation. If you get the ex/si trans you wont fall out of vtec.

i wish i could have made it out.. elevation is closer to 3500 vtec controller wouldnt help too much.. tranny swap would help tons but more practice.. better tires.. would significantly drop your times.. the 60' time wasnt too grand.. needs to get bellow 2.2 for sure.. the evos have ran much stronger here at the last street legal night..

ok, ive got a y8 tranny on the way, and a y8 manifold that im going to have port matched to a ls throttle body, then a full 2.25" exhaust, with slicks, and mill the head 3 thousandths with a mild port and polish, cam gear, and fiels vtec controller. what should i be possibly running with this setup, im thinking probably mid to low 14's, ive been told the tranny should drop .5 off of my time alone. im not going to run a header because im just going to turbo it soon anyways and no need to buy something that will be replaced anyways.

Just curious, Who where you racing against, is it just me or doesn't a 13.6 with a 89 mph trap speed seems kind of odd.

that was my buddy in a 92 fwd talon with a **** load done to it, he was having a problem with a slipping clutch and when he put it in 3rd, it actualy grabbed and took off. so he broke out while he was hard on the brakes. his quickest time is 12.8. so ya he was having a problem with his dial-ins.
