lip crack...
i was goin down a road goin about 60 and a cat jumps in the middle of the road outa no where and i hit it on my right side i feel bad but i couldnt avoid it.. but my question is what should i use to fix the cracks? the lip is made of urethane i just got the lip so its unpainted right now......... i was thinking of using that stuff that is the 2 glue like substances and when u mix them together they dry really hard. (sorry i forgot the name of it, its 5 am really long night really tired... ) but jus please some help thanx .
What about using a thin peice of metal kind of like a brace for the 2 sides of the crack. Use that glue and glue the peice of metal across the back of the lip so it holds the crack together? Oh and your from White Plains? cool, I live near Peekskill...

Yep. What I was told to do from LOTS of experience body shop friends.
I sadly hitted a curb, my newly painted 98+ front end CRACKED! In two places. My bodyshop friends, told me to:
1) just drill few holes around the crack, and get some really thin metal wires and sew them together tightly. Just to hold them together.
2) Then, get some fiberglass net and lay em in back of the body* bumper/lip and smoother fiberglass around the crack to give it extra strength. You can also do this to the front too, but its be easier to use bondo/urethane stuff? and apply it on the outside, let it dry... Then sand it slightly to get it smooth. Then your set to go!
Ive seen this proceedure done many times, and looks to work flawlessly!
