looking at some of my old pix, i miss my car so bad, it's been 5 month since it's gone still no sign of it, (only found my engine, was in a POS eg hb) why cant you thieve just die, i spent so much time taking care it, 2.5 years only put 24000km on the car, (even tho most of them are track milage) no dent no scratch, wax it every ******* week, and you ******* people just came and steal it. the worst i cant even buy a brand new one or find one that has same condition as mine.

it's been 5 month of driving the bmw, i tread the bmw like **** (dont wash/wax it dont do oil change on time it...etc) i feel so sorry for it, but i'm thinking why bother to keep it nice and clean, what for, those ****** just gonna come and take it.

and i regreted so bad i should never get the bmw,
for sure i'll get another R once i move out of this hell hole place,(it was stolen in my own condo's parking lot that's why i didnt not get another R at the time)
does anyone know i lease this bmw and can i just trade it for itr ? i dont want to wait 1.5 year till the lease is over.

 

I think you'll need to sell off the car and its lease...so you'll need to find someone who is willing to take over the payments and pay you for the money you have already paid


the best option is to try to pay off the lease and then sell the car, otherwise you might get scrwed on the resale

What made you get a 330 over a preowned M3? Just wondering. I know the feeling though. I had a '00 FBP sold it to a friend and thought I'd be just as happy with a beater, read: 97' GST. Turns out, it handled like a boat and stumbled across a '97 with 24K.

Get another R if you miss it THAT much.

well i was looking for 328 but dealer offer me a good deal for this 330 so i took the offer, never really thought about m3 since insurance gave me **** money for my R (i have a 2001 ITR with 24k km no accident but the money they gave me wasnt even enough to buy an 99 ITR), and if i do get m3 i think insurance will rape me, 330 i got is a 4 door and the insurance for the car cost me almost the same compare to itr.
yes i will definately get another ITR, but just hard to get one in good condition, and i need to move out this area before i get another one.

That's gotta suck. I traded my car in and ended up with an STi (just trying to relate) and I still miss my car like there is no tomorrow! If mine was stolen and I was left with nothing but pics, I'd go crazy.

I would stick with the 330 anyday imo, u should be happy with it and move on. I think you're just still bitter about your R getting stolen. Plus you can drive it movie theaters, mall, schoo, work without worrrying every minute about your car getting jacked. If you get an R again, you would have the paranoia of your car getting jacked again and there's a huge possibility it can actually happen to you again no matter where you park the car, if they want it really bad they gonna get it no matter what it takes.

and plus I know more people that drive a Honda/Acura that wished to have a bimmer, than bimmer owner that wished to have a Honda(like yourself ) j//k

 

i have driven both the 330 and ITR. the ITR honestly just feels like a racecar and it's more sharp. however, the 330 is a very stable and powerful. It's all around a very SOLID car. i would definitely not mind a 330. the ITR is fun for now i suppose.

 

Nothing will quite replace the R...

But, if you can deal w/a convertible the S2k is as close as you will get IMO.

 

sometimes the headaches are not worth it , over having what you want. saddly it sucks that you can not fix something that you like without worrying of other peeps that will take it. Some for the easy money, some since they can not afford to do the work them self.
If that has happen to you already , it would be very hard IMO to put yourself in that same situtation were you can get the car stolen again.

well i've been thinking for the past 5 month, you are right now i do not have to worry about where i park, i can just park it anywhere i like, only think to worry is parking ticket or someone breaks my window take **** in my car, but i know it will be there, it will not disappear. if i do get another R fore sure i'll worry it even more since i already got one stolen, but with 5 month of thinking, i say it's worth it, ITR is the right car for me, i dont need any of the luxury from bmw, what i need is a pure race car and a cheap beater, leather seats power seats ...etc i dont care if i have it or not, therefore i dont think the bmw is a right car for me.
and some of you guys say the bmw is solid, i dont really think so, at first 2 month i thought it's pretty solid, 50/50 ratio plus it's FR, it should be better then ITR, but after drive it for 5 month, with some sharp turns, FR is not my car, and it's not solid compare to ITR ( i did upgrade the suspension for the bmw, perhaps i need some sway bars) and it's just way too heavy. i do admit it's a nice car for dialy drive tho, you get to love that 214ft torque at 3k rpm, driving in the city is much more easy. but after all i'd choose itr again and again
