ive done some research and found that supposedly the 4-2-1 is a jun knockoff and the 4-1 is a T1R knockoff..they sell for a decent price also..about 360-380 bucks depending on where you buy it..they didnt do to badly in the header test by titan motor sports (they did come in last place for hp and tq) but they were behind by really small #'s ..plus the guys who did the test said it was a beautiful header and thought for sure it would do better then it did...but they also tested all 4-1's not 4-2-1's so i dunno..i think im gonna get the 4-2-1 with a 2.5 collector

It has good ground clearances, sorta like the T1R header style. Vibrant is just a knockoff company.

Can't wait to see the next knockoff header of the SMSP header from these companies, lol.

OUCH! don't be a fool. either by an AN-r or HeaderTech (i know, they are hard to get). better yet, buy a DTR or save more and get an SMS or Hytech. the Toda piece is mad nice, but, it's too much for an off the shelf header. your better of saving a Grip (get it?) and purchase a high end piece.

I am curious about there new 4-2-1 header.
http://www.vibrantperformance....5.pdf
It looks well made like there 4-1. Does anyone have any experience with this one? Grip suggested it's a JUN knockoff.

Any experiences with this one or comparisons to the DC JDM header or the actual JUN piece would help.

A buddy of mine has the 4-2-1 Vibrant header and loves it!! ...made great power on the Dyno and uses it on the road course...works well for the street..

What is wrong with an afforable header that makes power....who cares about all the other bullshit ...buy what works..and what you like ...who cares about everything else ...

here are some pics..

Any actual numbers on that header? It looks like an exact copy of the JUN piece.

AMEN. i love mine too, and i would rather keep my Vibrant 4-2-1 over that dc crap. i know of someone who has made very good power with this header. unfortunately, i have no access to him or his dynos right now. in any case, its much better quality than dc, and, he made a good 3whp more than the dc jdm 4-1 thru the entire powerband. it also made a few more wtq from 2500-6000 and from 6700-8400. for the price, quality and ground clearance, it can't be beat.

The JUN header a friend of mine had was noticeably different than the header being discussed in this thread.

interesting. The photo i posted earlier is a photo of the JUN piece. The pdf link is to the page with the Vibrant parts. They look the same. Even the tubing size is the same.

The one I am thinking of is an older version but non the less the two you linked look quite a bit different.

The Vibrant Header from my understanding has the 2.5" collector and larger primaries. This 4-2-1 design from my own research is pretty much a standard design known by manufacturers...which is known to make power.

Whats the issue>?

I will look into finding dyno charts..

Hmmm I did a search and this is what I came up with. I just destroyed my jdm dc 4-1 and the vibrant 4-2-1 is what I think I'm going to replace it with. I have my dyno plots from p1auto with the dc 4-1 and will have it dynoed again with the vibrant. I'll post the differences!
