Porting is basically just taking the head of your motor and grinding down the intake and exhaust ports into a more agressive, or efficient way. it's done by sharpening the dividers and making the hole bigger to accomodate more flow. Polishing is smoothing the ported job so the flow is much smoother, thus reducing drag and turbulence.

IMO its not worth it if you don't do any other work internally. what type of power are you looking for? do you have a b18b1? if you do, I suggest LS turbo, it's fun as **** and reliable if done right

do you have an LS? if so I don't suggest any internals. slap a turbo kit on and have fun. i've been in one FULLY BUILT ls before and it was kind of quick, but it was no where near as quick as my boosted teg, plus it rode pretty choppy because of the "lopey" idle..
