17" Volk TE 37's - What offset, and what tires are good?
For the 17x7 you need an offset of minimum 30 or go up to 50
For the 17x7.5 you need an offset of minimum. 35. ...or you also can go up to 45
For the 17x8 you need an offset of 40 - minor fender works maybe necessary.

Hey Wes, I know that Mattj (DropSpeed) is running 17" SSR Competition for the street. IM him and I'm sure he would be willing to tell you with no charge.

17x7.5+40 215/40/17. rubbed all over the place front and rear, ride was harsh, couldn't get a good launch out of 40-series tire. tried to induce negative camber in the rear and positive in the front to stop the rubbing, and even rolled the fenders, but all i did was mess up the handling. i tried to go 205, but everyone warned me there wouldn't be enough rubber to prevent bending the wheels if i did. finally i gave up and went to these 16" evos... much happier now
Wes, we have the Volk TE37 17 X 7.5 with +40 offset. 205/40 X 17 fits no problem and won't bend the wheel, unless you hit a pothole or curb.. We have tried the 215/40 X 17, it rubbed in the back fender lip only, fronts were okay, but 205/40 were a better fit.
These 17 inch wheels are good for the street. On the track, we use the 15 inch TE37 since it is quicker than the 17 inch. If your getting wheels for the track, go with the 15 inch.
If your looking for street tires, I would get the Dunlop Sport SP8000. For Track tires 205/50 X 15, I would go with the old Kumho V700 Victoracer or the Hoosier RS03 for quicker lap times.

Even better than last time I saw it.. with ripples and dents on the left side!

after my experience i'm thinking +48 with a 7.5" wide wheel might cause rubbing on the inside up front?
