Default Turbo CBR F4

Anyone ever hear of someone doing a light custom turbo on a 600cc bike? I have a 00' F4 and i dumped it, so now its time for a paint project/all around project... I'm learning how to do everything myself, and if anyone has any advice on doing a light pressure (4lbs) turbo kit on a 600cc bike... the advice would be great... I have someone that is willing to help me (older guy) did some turbo kits on old school choppers with old volvo or saab turbo's... said they ran good... please let me know all your thoughts... its going to be attempted either way, advice is just nice... thanks every, I will post some before after pics of the paint as soon as it gets done... got i hate blind turns with gravel... and guardrails...

I have a CBR F4 myself and I saw an article in a motorcycle magazine years ago(Cant remember which, but Im sure I have it around here somewhere) about a Mr. Turbo F4 but I dont think it went into production because I was never able to find anything about it on there site. It had a pic of it and with the bodywork on, it looked just like a stock bike with a slip-on. Im sure if you sent them an email, they'll be familiar with it.

yea man i have seen alot of f4's and f4i's with turbo's latley but no one knows where to get the kit from. i have a 2001 f4i my self and i thought if i cant find a kit then i would build one myself. hey i did it for my car and it was a fun learning experience and if i had just bought the kit and had someone put it on then i would not of known half the stuff that i know today so i think i might just build it myself again.

do a google search on this... there are several options out there for turboing your honda. I looked into it last year, but kinda changed my mind when I saw the power gains that were attainable... the bikes were only able to handle 6-8 psi at the most and were seeing aobut 130-140 whp as a result. I was thinking I'd be able to catch a couple of liter bikes off guard, but after those numbers I wasn't so sure... still an awsome concept though.

well, I've talked to some peopleand everyone says you can't buy a kit, however, a custom "junkyard" turbo kit (Saab/volvo turbo) is totally do-able on low boost (4-8psi.) We will see how it goes this winter, and I will continue posting. Thank you guys so much for the links, and whoever told me to emial Mr.Turbo, I am about to... Thanks again, pictures will come soon.

One more thing; I'm sure you know that Lovefab manifolds for D/B/H-series motors are great, but I'm pretty sure they might able to help you with a custom manifold for your F4...

If you all decide to go the commercial route (as opposed to the junk-yad route) let me know, as I've got a business license as well as a friend who is the parts manager for a big honda/suzuki dealership. He told me once that if I found a company, he'd setup a wholesale account with them and pass on whatever savings he was able to get, to me...
