Automatic Transmission fluid filter
i have a 2000 honda prelude ss and i am gettin zex wet nitrous and someone recommended that i change transmission fliud is there a filter too that i have to change ....and if so what kind of filter and what kinda of synthetic transmission fluid should i use...and i how do i change the transmission fluid and filter....
There is no filter, it is just a metal screen. I suggest you take it to the dealership to do it, because if you crack open the tranny and it breaks; more likely than not, Honda will null your warranty leaving you tranny-less. 100k warranty on the 00-01 SS preludes for trannies.

you shouldnt have to open the tranny to change the fluid
if you want to clean the screen you need to open the tranny. and the fluid you should use should be Honda ATF, anything else and the dealership find out, you're out of a precious warranty.
actually no.. if you use tranny fluid that meets the requirements of the manual, they cannot void your warranty. I use mobil 1 synthetic ATF on all trannies i change, and it works great, so much better than honda ATF.
